Brake Dust

I am a firm believer in Carquest "blue" semi metallic pads. Honestly, after weeks of mostly city driving and there is hardly a bit of dust on the rim, running your finger shows different, but not much. I had their ceramics and man they were crap. Squeeled like angry pigs after 7000 miles or so and cost twice as much. Stuck with the "blue" pads and never looked back.

So far, for probably 100 000 km's and 2 sets, no noise till about the time they're due to be changed, probably from indicator bar. Even at the end, I don't remember really but I didn't notice much more dust and that's probably why I didn't take note. I swear up and down and around a few more times by these pads, and ya, at the very least resurface the rotors if not just replace them.

Where can one get these pads?

Carquest my man. I am curious if anyone else like Autozone or NAPA use the same exact pad with their branding on it. The Carquest "blues" are actually made by Raybestos so I'd guess anyone having Raybestos semi-metallics. I usually get all my stuff from Carquest so it's a no brainer for me.

i had swapped out my pads for Morse ceramics on my 98 and wish i never did. Truck felt great the first couple hundred miles, but now it squeels like crazy, grinds and rims are black in a week. I mean BLACK!! I had these same pads on my 97 and never had a problem.
im goign to try hawk ceramics soon.
