I USE to have the 3" skyjacker lift. Never had any balljoint problems, but did have a leaking shock problem. Didn't like the ride, bump steer was horrible. Just overall not a good experience. Took out the coilovers and put in a 2.5" Autospring in, while leaving in the skyjacker AAL. Awesome setup, recommed it to anyone over the 3" SJ.

Truck looks great.
In your opinion, do the tires at all look to wide for the 7.5" rims?? From the pics I have seen, it does not, but its hard to tell from all the pics I have seen. I am leaning towards these tires, but I don't want it to look like I'm trying to squeeze a big tire on a small rim.

IMO they do not, I had a set of 285/75/16 Goodyear wrangler MTR's on my old trucks wheels and I believe they were 6.5 inches wide, and to tell you the truth the tires looked to wide for those rims, but I still got 25,000 out of them, when I sold that truck, and I know you could have got a least another 10 out of them, that is why I did not hesitate to put the 305's on. Like I have said I got 5,000 on them No irregular wear, run great, and smooth even at 75. If you want me to try to take some close ups I will but cant today cause its raining and she is in the garage after the bath I gave her yesterday.
But I feel they look great on the rims, they are not bowed out or look rounded, I think the tire places say this because, beyond a shadow of a doubt they do not want to be liable for anything, Hopes this helps. Anything else just ask, Im on everyday.

Sweet, these are the tires I am going for. The only other ones I was considering were the 285/65R18's. I just wish the 305's weren't so damn expensive.

I got mine from discount tire. They will deal with you and they will match the best price you can find, I got mine for 1240$ with free rotation and balance for the life of the tire, but they will not warrenty any milage because the tires are not for the correct rim width in their computer, but just tell them you know they wil work and put them on. They are very expensive, but being the only tire made in that size, they can basically charge what ever they want for them, but IMO it was worth it because it makes the truck look so good.

Just curious guys going with the 285s does it throw your speed Odometer off? Same question for the 305 tires if so how do you fix it? Thanks!

With my 285's it only knocked it off a couple MPH. The 305's will be a little more yet. I fixed mine with the Edge Evolution, but any programmer should have that capability.

Just keep using it with the speedo off...you'll put on less mileage.

By off, I meant "uncorrected" as opposed to shutting it off. No way to shut it off that would illegal.
