Tire Prices - 275/65-18 ???
Am I crazy or have tires prices gone up? I could have sworn last year when I looked at Tire Rack online, the price for a descent 275/65-18 was in the $100 per tire range. Now when I look, the cheapest starts at $137.
I like the Goodyears @ $150 but I don't need anything other than an all season highway tire.
Anyone have some good/reliable/trustworthy sources online for more tire choices in the 275/65-18 size? I'd like to look at other brands but it seems Tire Rack doesn't stock other brands in my size, like Toyo, Kelly, etc.
The BFG Rugged Trails I have now have held up well and overall have been a nice tire. I might stick with those, but would still like to look at other options. Again, nothing too aggressive. Just a nice all season tire for just about all on-road use (but descent in snow too).

After checking several options/prices which include the dealer, a major local tire chain and buying online and then having them mounted/balanced...
I found the best deal for me would be to buy the tires (BFG Rugged Trail OEM tires which lasted me 51,000 miles) at the local tire chain so I get the alignment, etc, etc thrown in and they will stand behind me if anything happens to the job they do. The cheapest option of buying online would only save me about $100 but then I get no alignment, have to pay separately for mounting/balancing and would not be able to go back to them later if there was a defect with the tire.
So...Tire Dicounters...here I come (within a few weeks I hope).
