Wandell?

I'm getting ready to order tires and rims for my 06 super cab 2wd. Probably going to get the helo maxx 6s. What's the tallest widest tire I can fit with a leveling kit and how far will they stick out on these rims? Thanks man.

Several people have fit 285/70-17's on 4x2's by using a leveling kit and the OEM wheels. I believe the Helo Max 6's are 9 inches wide but I'm not sure of the backspacing. Are you planning on using the 18x9's or 17x9's? Do you know the backspacing? You may be able to fit a 285/70-17 or 285/65-18 (33x11.50) but my guess is it would be a tight fit.

I want the 18x9s and they have 5 3/8" backspacing. Tirerack.com says the bfg 285/65/18s are 32.8" tall. Whatcha think?

It'll be tight, but they will probably fit with a little trimming. I seem to remember a member running 285/70-17's (same height and width) on 17x9 inch wheels.

Thanks for the help man. What about the 285/60/18 nitto grapplers? Too small? And how far will those wheels stick out over stock?

An 18x9 with 5 3/8 inches of backspacing will stick out about 1 1/2 inches farther than the OEM wheels.
