What tire size and level for me, 2 questions?

Hey all
I have an 06 F-150 super-Crew with the stock 20" rims, tires 275-55-20. The tires I have on there need to go this spring and I need some advice.

I want to get the front leveled out. Any recomedations on what make of leveling kit and how many inches to go, I am assuming 2" or 2.5"?

#2
What size tire would be best, I want to sit more like a truck and be off the ground, just your basic tough 4x4 look. 285/65/20 or 305/55/20? Would I have any probelms with rubbing?

Thanks to everyone

I'd go with a 2.5 inch Autospring kit and some 305/5-20's (33x12.50)

Are the 285/65/20's a bigger/taller tire then the 305/55/20's?

The 305/55-20's are basically a 33x12.50 tire. Look at the manufactuerers chart to get an exact height on the 285/65's. I think they will be a little taller.

The 285/65/20 is about an 11" x 34.5" tire. Check out my gallery for BFG pics.

That looks really good! That stance is what I am looking for? I know you have a 2.5" AS that raises the front up but what is the 1.5" AAL? Is that to bring the rear up?

Northerner,
I got the AAL for 2 reasons. I plan on adding a lumber rack and after the AS install, the front end looked higher than the rear.

With the stock 20"s what backspacing should I run with the 33x12.5. I want them to stick out just a little. Do I need to worry about backspace?

If you are using OEM 20's, you will be fine. You can't change a wheels backspacing.
