Check out the pics!!!

I added a 2.5" skyjacker leveling kit with skyjacker AAL. Tires are BFG Muds 35x12.5x18s.

What I want to do next is get some Eagle alloys 18x9's to bring out my wheels about 2-3 inches (like the guys truck in the last pic) so they stick out from under the fender. How much backspacing will I need? What else do I need to know? Please help

well, check local law on how far they can stick out before you have to add fender flares...but remember out to far you`ll be throwing crap all over your truck

Are you planning on running 35x12.50 with aftermarket wheels, If so then you are goin to have some rubbing. The only thing i can think of it to get like at 8in wide wheel with backspacing close to oem.(5.5)

Yes you may have some rubbing on the aftermarket wheels, the truck in the lower pic look's like he has a rancho lift, or maybe my eye's are deceiving me!

Thumbs up

Sweet looking truck.....saving up some money to put 305's on my SCREW.
I'm jealous....I was stationed there at Elmendorf for a few years.

So are you guys telling me that I will definetly have some rubbing issues after I change to an aftermarket rim?
I don't have any rubbing issues with the current set up.

You are deinfinitely going to have some rubbing if you get a much wider rim or a rim with less backspacing. The rule is USUALLY 35" tires with stockers or 33" tires with aftermarket rims.

rubbing issues

I have a 05 f150 fx4 with 2.5 leveling kit and 35x13.5x18. I had to shave a inch off on the inner fender and round the corner off the front valance. It looks cooler but it does throw debris on the truck, I wish i went with a thinner tire, and those running boards you have on the truck more inlikely have to come off. I'm thinking of getting fender flares for my truck hopefully will stop debris from hitting truck.
