97 2WD Front Caliper pin grease

Will the blue wheel bearing grease work for the caliper pin grease?
I had a caliper stick and ruined the outside brake pad. I usually use the grease you get in the little foil packs but I now have a new can of blue wheel bearing grease. Thanks

Any grease can melt under heat and get into the brakes...the correct lube for the slider is silicone caliper lube....a little goes a long way. I've seen lithium used though...personally I just stick to caliper lube.

The blue grease is just anti-water grease....or marine grease.

I found that Lubegard makes brake caliper grease. It's silicon grease with molybdenum disulifide and has a wide temperature range. I searched the internet for brake caliper grease and this one appears to be the top of the line. And its $5.50 for 3 oz tube. I found it for sale online at this link

Here's a Lubegard link.

I bought a tube but haven't used it yet.

You can use high temp di-electric grease, which is what Ford uses. Do not use regular grease. All it does is attract dirt and moisture.
