noobie questions

hey guys! im new to the forum and needing some information. im a member of the ford-trucks forum as well but im kind of having a difficult time getting answers over there. i have an 04 lariat screw. ive ordered the autospring 2.5" front lift and the 1.5" rear lift. im looking at tires right now and i want a 325/65 but i would be willing to run a 35x12.50 if need be. i have the stock wheels in storage back home if they are the better option. the wheels im running now are 18x8 american racing.

http://www.americanracing.com/wheels...lloy&section=S

would i need to add more backspacing to clear the 325s? or are the 35s by best option? thanks! - marshall

I think the best way to go is check out the 305x65x18 BFG A/T's, these are close to 34" and would probably fit on those wheels without rubbing. The only chance for the 35's not to rub is put them on the stock wheels.

I'm running a 325/65/18 toyo with the skyjacker leveling kit on stock rims. i had rubbing issues until i put 1/4" wheel spacers on. now the only rubbing i have is on the frame at a HARD turn. it doesn't rub on the bumper or fenders. however, if you have flares you will need to either cut or put a screw in the corner of the front 2 flares. i removed the screw from the rock gaurd under the flare and put it back through the flare into the fender liner. that solved the only rubbing issue outside of the frame. in short, you can go with the 325/65 on the stock rims with wheel spacers.

You'd be better off sticking with a 33 inch tire like a 325/60-18.

I just wish we had more choices of tires in the 305/65/18 size. As far as i know you can only get the BFG A/T in that size. I'm looking into that size too instead of the 35's but not sure if i want the BFG's.
