Torque Spec for Lugs

How many ft lbs for new Chrome wheels?

Same as any other wheel, 150 ft lbs.

150 sounds kinda extreme, I was thinking around 120

Owners manual states for the 14mm lugs, 150 ft lbs, and that is on aluminum wheels. It certainly isn't going to hurt them. Your 97 has 12mm lugs, which use 100 ft lbs.

interesting, so i didnt think that it was that much, how about my moto metals would 150 hurt them?

Don't see why it should. If the wheels are designed for the pickup, they should be designed to the manufacturers specs.

definitly 150 lbs. I went through this when I installed my AS then after the new wheels.

150 is the correct torque for OEM or aftermarket wheels on the 04+ trucks. I work at firestone, and have put a few after wheels on the new trucks along with my own, and 150 will not hurt anything

150 is what mine are at. Doesn't seem to hurt my rims.
