Wheel and tire fitment help

I will be putting 35x12.5x17 tires on my truck soon. I am wondering if i can put 17x9 wheels with 4.5 backspacing on. I have a 2001 4X4. Im just not familiar with the whhel fitment. Will the 4.5 backspacing be ok? Also will the tires rub with these wheels or will i have to trim my valance which i dont mind doing.

Thanks,
Will

No, not without a lift. You can run 35x12.50's on a stock 4x4, but you have to use the OEM 17x7.5 inch wheels (which have 4.5 inches of backspacing). This is an extremely tight fit. If you put the same tire on a wheel that is 1.5 inches wider, you will have major rubbing. Either stick with a 33 inch tire or add at least a 3 inch body lift to clear the 35's.
