315-75-16

can i fit a 315-75-16 on a stock '98 6 spoke alloy 16" rim? would the tire shop throw them on and if they do will anything negative come out from doing it?

THe OEM 16 inch wheels are only 7 inches wide which is an inch narrower than recommened for a 315mm wide tire. Usually running a tire on a wheel that is too narrow can cause the center portion of the tire's tread to wear slightly faster than normanl. I wouldn't do it unless you plan on buying wider aftermarket wheels in the near future.

And if you do plan on changing out your wheels try and do it around the same time as you get the new tires cause the shops around here charge around $75 for mounting and balancing so you don't really wanna pay it twice cause of a week or 2.
