Yet another offset/tire/wheel question...

The whole offset thing really makes my head hurt.

I am hoping someone can help me out a bit.

I have a '05 SCREW FX4 with a AS 2.5" offset leveling kit

I want to install 18x9 Moto Metal 951's with a +30mm offset and 4 1/2" backspace and run BFG 325/60R18

Is this gonna work? any modification required?

EDIT: I don't think that will work

i have 325/60/18 tires with motometal 951's with 4.5" of backspacing and i had to trim. i don't think you are going to be able to fit the taller tire.

Unless I'm mistaken the 4.5 inch backspacing isn't 30mm offset it's somthing around-12mm. That wheel comes in both offsets but one is around 5.5 or 6 inch backspacing and +30mm offset the other is around 4.5 backspacing and around -12mm offset. My numbers maynot be exact but are close.

You will probably have to do some trimming.

I believe I had the same setup before my lift...

I had to trim my inner fender flare about 1". Pics in my gallery. It will work!

It might work but if it does it will be a very tight fit

So would 6.125 backspacing help or hurt if you wanted to run 325/60/18 on a 8.5 wide rim

It is not that bad. You have to do a little trimming and after that you are good to go. I have been out off-roading in all situations and have not rubbed.

Thanks for all the replies.. Sorry for the delay in response, but I left for China right after posting this thread and just got home yesterday.

Cannonballgsu, Yes I did edit my OP. Sorry about that. I meant to make a comment stating as such before I left, just ran out of time. You are not going crazy. It was my typo.
