where do you shop?

I'm in the market for some new tires and having a tough time finding the deals. I got a little sticker shock when I saw 200+ dollars for a stock265/70/17 I am almost considering going to an aftermarket 16" wheel, just for the fact that 16"tires are significantly cheaper. I will be cranking up the torssion keys (as Wendal highly promotes here ) I'm also adding a 3"body lift. I want to go with a 315/70/R16 or 17 (Yes I realize they will be a few bucks more). The primary use of my truck is a daily driver that sees a lot of highway miles. Therefore I need a good wearing tire. My question is:
1 where do you shop? (for wheels and or tires)
2 What brand tire wears decent?
3 How often do you rotate your tires to keep them in good shape?

BTW:This site is awsome I have learned quite a bit in the last 2 weeks I have been here. Just want to thank you folks for sharing your knowledge and experiences

I usually look at Discount Tire and 4 Wheel Parts websites for prices and then ask my local tire store to match their price.
I've had good luck with BFG AT KO's and Bridgestone Dueler AT's. Both will go over 60,000 miles.
I rotate my tires every 6000 miles.

1)I often shop on ebay. just be sure you are purchasing from a reliable seller with a high positive feedback, and it doesnt hurt to call and talk to them before purchasing, to get answers to questions such as shipping, and warrantys, and return policys. always the websites wandell mentioned are great to. i find ebay cheaper on alot of tires and wheels.
2)I bought my tires and rims from jordans tire, it is an ebay store, they are great and very reliable as well as helpful. you can call them and they are more than happy to answer any questions. i cannot say enough good things about them, i purchased my tires and wheels from there for about $1250 mounted.balanced, and shipped to my door. they are the mickey thompson mtz's in a 305/70/16 and the wheels are **** cepek dc1's 16x10s.
3)bf goodrich tires are great, but you pay for what you get. i had a set of bfg's all terrain that i got about 75000 miles out of and only rotated them 2 2 or 3 times i believe, and could of probably gotten 10000 more miles out of them. i have about 15000 miles on my mickey thompson's now with little to no tread wear. also i here alot of good things about toyo's.

Try www.ntb.com...there should be some Uniroyal Laredo's in that size right around $120 a piece with a 60k warranty. You could also try www.tirerack.com
