New Tires

Hello everybody.

I'm looking into getting new tires for my 1998 2WD Lariat. Right now I only need to replace the rear two tires (I currently have Uniroyal Liberator A/Ts), but I am considering putting more aggressive tires on and changing all four tires. My question is, would it be worth it?

I can get the two replacement tires for about $200 or less, whereas a set of four better tires would run anywhere from $450 to $800.

Help is appreciated!

I would replace all 4. I have never been a fan of replacing 2 tires at a time. If you replace the 2 now, in about 2 years or less you will need to replace the others. Spend the extra now for a set of 4 tires. Good luck.

Thanks for the info.

Might I add that the fronts have little mileage on them, maybe 20k, and are in good shape. Would this change much? I also am not a fan of replacing two tires at a time, but I am strapped for money at the moment. However, i am willing to put the money in for tires if it is really worth it.

Also, how big could I go on a stock 2WD w/o trimming or rubbing on stock wheels?

Thanks for the continued help!
