Bigger tires

I have the stock wheels and tires on my 2004 XLT, i was in an accident so along with all the body work im going to do the interior and also thinking of powder coating the wheels and going with bigger more aggressive tires. Has anyone had Procomps or the Nitto Terra graplers, i was wondering about the wear, and noise from them, its a work truck, so i drive it alot, but i also pop the racks off and take it on some trails so i need a tire thats going to get me out of some mud. Im looking for a 285, or something around 32 or 33 inch, nothing to0 big so the side boxes are still low enough to use.

I have 285 BFG at's and love em. They last a long time, have low noise and look great. I drive a lot too and i was worried about the same thing, but I couldn't be happier with my chose! oh ya, they do as well in the mud as non-MT should.

I'd have to agree, the BFG's, Nitto's or Toyo AT's would make good choice's. I've been running the Toyo 285 AT's and they really suprised me. Nothing fancy but they can take a beating on and off the road.

pro-comp mud terrain

i'm a fan of pro-comp mud terrain; but better traction in mud, etc. is a compromise (increased road noise)
