New shoes! 285/70/17 Stock 2000 ORP
Got the BFG A/T's. I read a bunch of posts on here and found they fit the stock suspension set up well, no rubbing! Also, I have never owned tires with black sidewalls out, always had the white letters. But after reading the overwhelming consensus on here about black walls out, I decided to give it a try. I am very pleased with the look, and it finally gave my truck the Off-Road look it SHOULD have from the factory. Had a chance to wash it today with the nice weather and here are a few obligatory "clean truck" pics, enjoy!

Thanks guys for all of the nice replies, I am very happy with the set up.
No-Tyme: No, I didnt get any second guesses from the tire shop. I also work with a guy with the same truck as me except its a 2001 and he has the same tires and did not get any questions from the tire shop. Although I wasnt able to supervise them mounting the tires, I am sure they didnt have any issues with it as they completed the job quickly. Im not sure that what their motive is behind telling you the rim is too small, but they fit fine.
My advice to you, if you want those particular tires, go back, ask them again, and if they deny you, take your business elsewhere. I would def. not spend money on tires without having a warranty. Maybe try some BFG's, but if they are too much money for you, look into the Nitto Grapplers.
Hope this helps, keep us posted!
