'05 SCrew Brake Squeak

I have an '05 Super Crew with roughly 22,000 miles on it. I have had a little brake squeak for a few months (as well as heavy brake dust) in the front. Everything is still OEM, and I'm thinking about changing my front pads. A good deal of my driving is in-city with pleanty of stops. The squeak only occurs when "lightly" braking. If I press firmly they sound firm. Rolling into my neighborhook, I find myself coasting and braking firmly just to avoid the embarasing sound. Anyone have any tips? Am I on the right track with changing the pads out?

I have the same problem with my 05 s-cab....it only does it at low speeds and is extremely unpredictable...although mine tends to happen in warmer weather. I've got 27k on mine. Someone suggessted that the brake pad wear indicator may me not situated right. I haven't the chance to pull my tire off and look though. I've about decided just to get more break pads
