Picked a set of rims... need to know what "flavor" to get.
I've got a set of BFGoodrich / Mud-Terrain T/A 35x12.50R17LT arriving soon and I've narrowed my choice of rims to the Pro Comp Xtreme Alloy Series 7089:
Since the only "chrome" on my truck is the F150 & Ford Badges, I'm going for the FBI Interceptor look:
I'm curious to anyone's thoughts/recommendations to the following choices:
17x8__6x135mm__0mm__4.5"
vs
17x9__6x135mm__-6mm__4.75"
I do want the tires to stick out past the fender, but not more than 2"
Thanks.

Well... that was my plan, but I can't seem to find stock 17" rims for a decent price. eBay has a few for $3-400 + s/h - where I can get the Pro Comps for a few $$$ more.
If I went with these stock 17's, what process/cost would it take to black them out?

I beleive he said he already ordered the 35s. And I would do the 17x9, but I think the wider wheel looks better (tougher!!!) But as others said, pretty sure they will rub pretty bad.
I think I am gonna end up ordering the same tires. Unless I get a GREAT deal on some MTZs at the 4Wheel Jamboree in Springfield MO. this weekend

Yep, called the wife and they were delivered on 5/4. I also picked up these stock 17"s for $180 shipped (which will come on Tues)
I'm just hoping they're chrome clad where I can rip/sand off the chrome and paint them black. I'll get pics up when I'm back in town.
Shane - check out eBay for the 315/70/17 - they're stock H2 tires and eBay is FLOODED w/ them. All the H2 guys are putting on 22's & 24's so I'll be more than happy to take their "sloppy seconds"

Thanks for the advice.

Decided to stick w/ the 17" OEM Chrome Clad wheels for now ($180 shipped from TX) and the BFGoodrich / Mud-Terrain T/A 35x12.50R17LT ($300 shipped from CA). Yes the tread is a little low for a mud tire, but I couldn't see myself spending $1300+ on tires/rims only to find out I didn't like the ride.
All together, here's my totals:
$300 - BFGoodrich / Mud-Terrain T/A 35x12.50R17LT
$180 - 17" OEM Chrome Clad Rims
$112 - 2.5" Auto Spacer (powder coated)
$75 - Alignment
---------------------------------------------------
$667 - TOTAL
Thanks for all the information everyone provided - couldn't do it without you!
