ABS light on after brake job

ABS light on after brake job

i have an 01 f-150 sport 2wd. i just did the brakes and rotors brand new. the brakes are EXTREMLEY spongey and the abs light is on.(it wasnt before) perhaps i didnt bleed the brakes good enough? i dont know...

Did you move the ABS sensor on the wheel or wheels? Have the ABS code pulled to see what the number is. As for the brakes, when you took the pads off did you hold them together and look at the wear pattern to see if they wore even. A very common problem is the caliper pins hang up and cause one side to wear more than the other. The other problem that gets over looked is the rubber hose collapses internally.

wow real bad. forgot to put a bearing in one of the rotors! fixed all of my symptoms including abs light. as far as the spongey brakes go i bled them real good. i mushed the pedal when bleeding instead of being gentle with it. got alot more air out. thnx for the help.
