2wd/AS Show me your tires!

The leveling is on and looks beautiful! No more nose dive. I've got $1200 burning a whole in my pocket, and I need to see some tire setups. I want 33 12.5 18R Mud terrain (I really love the Nitto Mud Grapplers). I know its a very small step to go up only an inch from my stock Lariat wheels, and I was wondering if anybody made a 34" tire that would fit 2wd/as kit ON STOCK WHEELS? Anybody out there have a 2wd leveling kit, with Mud Terrains? THanks!

EDIT: Would the Terra Grapplers 325/60 18R's fit? the calculator said those are 33.4x12.8 Is that accurate?

Check my gallery for pics of my ride with 35" mud terrains with a 2.5" AS. These were only put on for a test and there was rubbing at full lock. 33's should clear without a problem but it'm note sure about 34's but am curious if anyone is running them and if they rub. Check my gallery for more pics.

I know 33's clear.. but my stock tires are 31 inches tall. Not much of a difference. How bad was the rubbing? Can trimming take care of most of the rub? If I don't off road, would 35's be safe enough to putt around on the road?

The rubbing was on the control arm so trimming wouldn't work. It only rubbed at full lock but the treads on the mudds are pretty beefy so you could definately feel it. In normal driving around town they would be fine but in tight steering I wouldn't recommend it. BFG has some 34" tires and I wonder if those would rub or not. I guessing not but again I'm just guessing. When I get some tires I'm going with 33's the look really good IMHO.

The 33.4" Terra would probably fit without rubbing but don't know for sure. If you can find someone local to you maybe you could swap the wheels and see how they run on your rig. That's how the 35's made their way on my ride.

Post up if you find anything more out.

Hi Zig, with the 35" BFG, how close were the front tires to the upper steering knuckle/upper ball joint, maybe 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch??? I'm hoping a 13" wide tire will fit!

I'm going 13.2" on OEM 18's soon and I'm [pretty] certain there'll be no rubbing issues because it's the identical setup a friend has who swears, since, he's had no issues whatsoever.

We'll see...

well thanks for the feedback I already ordered the 325/60R18's The guy at the tire shop said if they don't fit he will just send them back even if they have been mounted, so either way I'm set.

Make sure you post up and let us know how it goes. Those tires are a bit over 33" and I think would fit fine. What tire did you go with?
