From 18's to 20's...What tire will fit?
I'm wanting to get some 20" factory wheels for my '06 F-150 2wd with stock suspension.
The tires I'm looking at are Hankook Ventus RH06 in either 295/50R20 or possibly 305/50R50. Will either one work on an '06 2wd w/stock suspension?
And will either one work if I were to lower the rear 2" with a Ground Force drop shackle kit?
If this helps here are the approximate specs on both tires sizes:
295/50R20
Outside Diameter---31.7"
Sectional Width---- 12.2"
Tread Width--------10.2"
305/50R20
Outside Diameter---32"
Sectional Width----12.4"
Tread Width-------10.6"

Are you sure about the 305/50r20 fitting on a 2wd? I was just doing some surfing and another source said there might be some problems encountered on the front-end with 305/50r20's.
I'd sure like to go with that size if it's possible though. I've got 285/60r18's mounted now and there is tons of clearance all the through the suspension travel with the steering wheel turned to lock.
