IROK bias
ok... i'm needing new tires for my truck pretty soon so i was just looking at some different brands and tread patters...
i was just wondering... i drive 80-90% of time on-road but want a REALLY agressive looking tire to finish off my truck... but dont want a tire that will be bald after 10,000 miles... I was looking at IROK Bias, i saw that the Bias were built a little different then the regular IROK, for better on the road... how many miles do you think i could get out of the IROK Bias

I would assume with regular balancing, rotation, and PSI checks you would be able to get more than those 10,000 miles. (I would think 25,000 at least if you take care of them)
I'm in the same boat as you are. I'm looking at the Procomp X A/T because its aggressive and will last on the road.
I'm sure one of the vets in here such as wandell can really give you an answer.

i was under the impression that a bias ply was built more for offroad use, as opposed to a radial which was built to wear better and last longer on the road..but i could be totally off on this one, just what i remember from some reading a few years back...thats why most tires dont get offered in a bias ply version, only ones i could think of were some mickey thompson, interco (super swamper), and maybe the pitbulls? i think some of the old line of buckshot mudders (before the line got bought up by maxxis) and maybe some of the ground hawgs might have been offered in bias ply as well...im sure wandell will share some insight on this

if you spend 80-90% of time ON road, DO NOT get a bias-ply tire!! there are plenty of aggresive radials out there, bias-ply tires are great for off road but suck for the highway. they are hard to balance, flat spot, noisy, wear out faster, etc. they are just really old technology.
go with radials, you'll be glad you did.

HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA well... if you saw this truck you'd take that back... haha j/p... its a 86' F-250 and it wont spin the tires an inch if you poped the clutch... hahaha... and they weren't driven wildly becasue the truck was so slow anyways so?!?! i onow... it was just really wierd?
