Bigger tires for an '07 F150 2x?

Could someone please advise if 275/70R17 tires will work on an unmodified '07 150 2x. I can't afford to lift it or to buy new wheels but I can swing a new set of tires. I love the truck even though it was the cheapest one on the dealer's lot. It looks and runs like a dream except for the small tires that came on it. There is so much empty space in the wheel wells, the tires look almost like toys! (Our Norfolk, Virginia Ford Truck plant sadly closed for good a few weeks ago and I'm proud of the "Built at the Norfolk Plant" sticker on the windshield of my 150. Great trucks built by fine, hard-working people came out of that plant for many, many years.) Thanks for your help.

welcome aboard.

I don't know about the 275's on a stock truck but for a mere $100 + the cost of an alignment, you could buy a 2" leveling kit (easy diy install) and fit 285/295-70r17's on the stock wheels.....just a thought.

Yes, they will fit without a lift.

I used a 2' lowering kit for the rear and went with 265/70/17s. keep in mind that any taller tire will require the computer to be reset or your odemeter and speedometer will be off.
