From 33'' to 35''

Hi, i'm thinking about getting some 35'' MT's soon but i want to know what to expect in gas consuption?

I currently do 16.5L|100km or 17.5mpg and that's with Toyo Open Country AT's 285-70R17

So what do you guy's with 35'' get?

And would 35'' fit with 17x9 0mm offset and 5'' bs? I have 2.5'' leveling kit and add a leaf.

Pat, I had my 35" tires on 17x9 with 5" BS wheels and they used to rub on the lower wheelwells on the front when making hard turns. I now have them on 17x8 with 5 1/2" BS with no rubbing. This past weekend I made a 700 mi. round trip and the mileage I got was a best of 17.2 at 70mph and 1800rpm's. City driving is where it suck's it up, I only get 12-13mpg. This is actually a lot better than my first Ford truck a 1984 F-150 with a 302 engine and a C-6 Auto!

PawPaw after looking at your picture, i notice that you have or had the same wheel i have.

American Racing Crater, is it the wheel that was rubbing?

I think i'll stick with 33'' ou 34'' tires, because i do alot of city driving

Well before making my mind, what was your stock mpg city|highway?

Pat, yes that is 17x9 with 5" BS Crater wheels that I had the 315's on, and yes they did rub. I still have the Crater's with 285 Toyo AT's on them as a spare set. The 17x8 Crush wheels with 5.5 BS give me no rubbing at all with the 315's mounted on them.

Maybe i'll be going with a Procomp 6'' suspension with coil over + 35'' tires

I currently do 19mpg on the highway and 17mpg in mix driving with 285-70R17.So i guess i'll lose 2mpg, that's not to bad.

Thanks again PawPaw.If i do get the suspension lift and 35'', i'll post picture
