wheel question
I am about to pick up a set of 18" moto metal 951's wrapped with 35" toyo m/t's. I have the rancho quicklift and wondering if I will get enough clearance with this to fit the 35's in there with minimal rubbing. If someone can answer this for me I would appreciate it. These will be going on an 06 f150 fx4.

This is going to be very close Rancho says you should go with a 33 inch tire BUT most companies will tell you to go with a tire that will not rub even if you were off roading!!!
I think you will be find the places to watch are the bumper when you turn YOU CAN NOT hit the bumper going more than a few MPH or the tire will be toast!!!
The other place to watch is the inside wheel well! let me know how if goes!!
I have those wheels and tires in stock if you havent bought them yet!!!

this is just my opinion, but sometimes bigger isnt always better as far as appearance when it comes to stuffing the biggest tires into a wheel well.
If going with 35's is going to be a tight fit, then I think 33's would look better because they wont look cramped. Plus you could get away with a little larger width on the 33's.

Well thanks for your guys response. I don't mind trimming a little bit. I personally would prefer to run a 33" but that is not the case with these rims already having 35's. 2tonef150 send me an email (Loften8@aol.com) with a quote since you have these in stock. Let me know what it would be with 33's and 35's. Does anyone have anymore pics of the Moto Metal's on a black truck with 33's or 35's?

Loften8, the wheels would have to be as close to stock specs not to rub. Stock wheels are 18x7.5 with a 5.5" backspace. I had my 35's on 17x9" wheels with a 5" backspace and they rubbed, not bad but just enough to tick me off after about 4k miles. I put them on some 17x8" wheels with 5.5" backspacing and have no clearance problems. Just my 2 cent's!
