Time to replace tires?

I recently came into ownership of a 86 F150 with 33'' BF Goodrich Radial Mud-Terrain T/A tires. They seem like nice tires but they are definitely at least 3/4 of the way worn down. There's also significant cracking in the sides of the front drivers side tire. Is this a severe problem that should be addressed ASAP or can it wait a little while? I don't ever plan on offroading at all. Also once i do replace these tires what should I replace them with? I still want to keep big tires on them cause it looks great but I'd want them to be a little more practical. Considering I don't offroad and don't want to can I get big tires just meant for average street use?

You risk the chance of a blow out with cracking on the side wall.

You could go with a a/t like the bfgs, nitto terra grapplers, toyo open country and there are much more out there.

I'll try to get a picture on here in a couple of days. I have to borrow a camera. Upon closer inspection the cracking is on all the tires but theres a severe looking cut on the front drivers side.

That looks like a cut. I'd replace it.

it looks as though the tire got shoved into the fender and the fender ate it up. I had it happen to me on a 1977 F150 with no lift and 33" mud tires whle I was out playin around. you MUST replace this tire unless the truck is only used around the farm, or within 2-3 miles of the house and speeds no greater than 15-20 mph. actually, just replace them lol

just put the BFG A/T ko on my stock height '02 stepside 4x4. They are a great tire on the street, with a nice aggressive look to them. Go to Costco, cheapest price around and it comes with a road hazard guarantee
