backspacing

Exclamation backspacing

01 f150 6in lift 315/75/16 bfg at on stock rims little rub when turn all the way. going to be getting a new set of rims, not sure whats size backing spacing to get. Right now i have 2in wheel spacer but i want to get rid of them and get some new rims, that stick off about the same thanks

a 16x10 is with around 4.5'' backspacing. that would stick out about the same. would stick out 3.5'' further than a stock rim with a stock 265.

I'd go with a 16x10 with 4.5 inches of backspacing.

so when I go to order my new rims I should go with 16x10 with 4.5 backspacing and how much offset or is that the same thing as backspacing. thanks

so when I order my new rims I should get 16x10 with a 4.5in backspacing, how about offset?? thanks

it is just another (more hard to understand) way to measure the same thing. Just tell them 4.5'' backspacing and that'll get the job done....

backspacing

ok thanks. one more question will wheel spacers be hard on your wheel bearings, i only got 200km on my set of new wheel bearing, and then had to get them replaced.

Yes, wheel spacers are hard on wheel bearings and other components.

wheel spacers

If I get rid of my wheel spaces and get new rims with a 4.5" backspacing will I have the same trouble with wheel bearings.

Anytime you increase tire size or wheel width you increase wear and tear to a certain extent. However, I guarantee you my truck is in better shape than most stock trucks that have been abused and neglected.

No rubbing what so ever, but
I had to trim the lower part of my valance.
