Tire Pressure

just put BFG LT285/70r17 on my '02 Flareside. Costco had some conversion table to go from the reg. passenger tire to the LT and recommended 45 psi for the new BFG's. Does this sound correct? Max pressure for the tire is 65psi

45 is about right for a LR D tire or LR E tire that has a max of 65. Just keep an eye out for unusual wear, and adjust pressure if needed. I would not go below about 40-42 if you lower the pressure. Then you are getting into too low territory.

I've always had good luck with 40 psi in truck tires. The max psi listing on the sidewall is for heavy towing/hauling, not daily driving.
