Offset Questions and Lug Patterns- Paging Wandell

Hello,

I've been really interested in the Rockstar's for a while now, and have finally located what I believe to be a good set.

http://www.wheelfire.com/scontent/Wh...799&CheckFit=1

They have those rims, in +35 Offset....Will that work out?

He did say that they dont have my Lug Pattern, but they could drill my lug pattern out for me from the rims....Is this good or bad? Any potential complications?

Just to be clear, my lug pattern is 6x135.

Their support department said once they drill out my lug pattern they will fit my 2007 King Ranch F-150 4x4 fine.

My question is, Will they? Or is it better off to go with the same rims, with 6.13 inch backspacing from a different company?

I ask this because I want to be ABSOLUTELY sure it will all work out

These are going to go on Toyo MT 33x12.50x20

Will those rims be compatible with those Toyo's, shouldn't be rubbing?

Yes, I have an autospring 2" level kit on it.

Thanks!!

Yep, you bolt pattern is 6x135mm. I'm not sure what the +35 offset works out to be. However, there is no way I would buy a new set of wheels and have them drilled out to a different bolt pattern. Most manufacturers these days do a pretty good job of making specific wheels for specific trucks with different backspacing. Plus, if you ever had a problem with the wheels I bet KMC would refuse to warranty them if they were redrilled. I'd just buy them form a different distributer. Look at 4Wheel Parts website. I believe they list each KMC wheels seperate. In other words they will list every available size and backspacing available for your 6x135mm bolt pattern.

I have a question then....

It seems the Rockstar's in 20x8.5, 6x135, are ONLY made with one backspacing. That backspacing 6.13 inches. I have found them in the 6x135 with 6.13 inch backspacing....

Do you believe that the following will be compatible with minimal rubbing, etc on my truck?

20x8.5, 6x135, 6.13 inch backspacing Rockstars,

Mounted on

33x12.50xR20 Toyo Mud Terrains....

All this on a 2007 F150 with 2" Autospring leveling kit.

What do you think?

It appears the 20 inch Rockstars are only made with 6.13 inch backspacing :P

Thanks, Favre

Man, check out this thread, I really think you should go with this setup, looks Sweet!! Apparently they make them in two different backspacings, or you are just reading it wrong.......or I suppose he could have just typed it wrong and it is 6.1 instead of 5.1

Oh **** he does appear to have ones with 5.1 inch backspacing....Hmmm

I havent been able to find any of that backspacing anywhere on the net for any price

On another note, I wonder what wandell thinks of the ones with 6.13 inch BS, considering they are only 1k for the set of 4

I totally forgot he even posted there! Still, I wonder what he thinks of the 6.13, since he just siad "5.5-6 is best"

Anyways, Emailed KMC directly to see what the backorder situtation was and see if they could do a local pickup :o

And yeah I found out they make them in +10 offset and +35 offset, equivalent to 5.1 inch BS and 6.13 inch BS.

Problem there is, Wandell said 5.5-6, they dont make it in that size. I gotta go less or more....

Okay, just trying to help. You see that 5.1 works and what it looks like now. And 6.1 is not enough difference from 6 to matter.....It is your decision.

I see that, and Thanks for the link! That helped alot. So now Im jsut confused as to what he thinks is better.

I can get the 6.13 inch BS for $1000 shipped.....

Still waiting on a price for the 5.1 Inch BS..... Just wondering which will work better. I could probably do either and be fine, but lets say the 5.1 inch BS turns out to be more expensive, do I want to risk it and go with something im not positive will work for cheaper? Or go with the more expensive but ones I've seen used on this forum before....

So Im just looking for some input from wandell as he seems to be the answerer of all questions here

I think the ones with 6.13 will work. The only problem I see is if you decide to run a tire with large sidewall lugs (like Mud Grapplers). Then you may have the tire rub the upper ball joint.
