Ya, Iraq and Afghanistan are EXTREMELY different ... night and day. I spent most of my time in Iraq in Sadr City (Baghdad slum) which is the most rat infested nasty craphole slum you could ever imagine. If you ever get the chance to visit, don't!

In Afghanistan, I traveled all over mostly ... I was on a mobile training team. Spent some time in Khandahar too.

Same same, if ya wanna talk, let me know.

Here's me on the far left.

Thanks bout the truck. The tires are great. I had to do some minor trimming, but there is no rubbing at all.

Nice body armor, I remember when all we had to wear was IBA with front and back plate, those were the days now they make us wear a dam bomb suit(hence what I am wearing in my pic). That picture reminds me of how dam trechorous those mountains are in afgahnistan.

Yup, some units are still like that, fortunately I wasn't in one of them!!!

Yup, couple trips now. No, not from here, lol. I'm originally from Upper Michigan (Marquette to be exact) but been in the Army since 1988. Only been in Abq since mid July.

Damn lucky!!! Sounds like my luck. We'd just arrived on our FOB in Iraq and were unloading our LMTV into our building when we took a 107 rocket. It took out all the glass on the drivers side of the LMTV, put a hole in our water buffalo, but even worse put a hole in the AC condenser and water tank for our building!!! Hadn't been in country 6 hours.

lol that blows. did ya'll fly in or did you make the road trip? i know they were SUPPOSED to end the roadtrip into country and just start flying everyone, but i'm not sure how that ended up.

it sucked because my humvee was BRAND NEW. i actually unloaded it from the docks in kuwait city. still had the plastic on the seats and when i first got in it it had 20 miles on the dash....

180,000 or so later it still kicked..... kinda. she had the hell blown out of her about 13 times...

That 50 rule in the city does not apply everywhere I guess. Nobody leaves our FOB without em'. I am on my 13th month lookin at getting home to my truck. The whole be carefull driving when you get back... I have to say it was a little akward driving on leave when I went back home.

Well boys here she is.

I just ordered a 2" AS leveling kit, 285/65/20 BFG's, Magnaflow 16616, and a K and N intake, wow that was expensive. Now I am still not sure what rims to go with but I will figure it out later. Sure is nice to be home and finally have my truck!
