Several guys on here will tell you not to use them, but I have run small spacers for 20k miles behind two sets of aftermarket wheels with no problems. Mine are only 5/16" thick but they do make a difference if you are looking for just a little more aggressive look.

why not use them? is it acceptable to use on stock rims just to make the wheels flush with the fenders? my truck is all about subtle so 8mm biggest i should go?

Personally, I wouldn't do it. A very small spacer may be used without problems, but pushing each wheel out 5/16 inch is not gonna make any visual difference in the stance.

how about the hub-centric ones (stud pressed into the spacer)? I put them on my stang and loved them. Never had any problems, not sure how they work on pickups though

I`ve also got them on my stang for about 20 yr`s now and no problems. These are on a 14" wheel. But on a truck I would ? it. Especially On a 4x4.
