Pro Comp 1089 & BFG ?s

Hey Guys - I am looking at getting the Pro Comp 1089 polished 17x8 wheels and 285/70/17 BFG ATs and have a couple of questions for you...

1. Any issues going to 17in wheel vs. the stock 18in? The 17in wheels and tires are way cheeper!

2. The Pro Comp wheels are 4.5in back space. I know this will stick out about 1.5in further than my stock wheels...will I see any paint chip issues, etc from this? Will I need fender flares?

3. Will the polished wheels hold up better to the Minnesota winters (salt, snow, cold ,etc) than chrome? I don't want to be changing wheels/times each season.

Thanks!

Should fit/work fine. I don't think polished aluminum and road salt mix too well.
