Steering Noise?

I Have A 97 F150 And It Has Been Making Some Steering Noise. I Had New Tires Put On An They Said There Was A Rod Or Some Item That Can't Be Relubed And Must Be Replaced To Eliminate The Noise But The Steering Is Not Affected Steering Is Just As Smooth And Responsive, Just Noisy. Any Suggestions?

Do a search in the suspension forum and you should find some information on this topic... I had the same problem on my '97 but I raised my front end up by cranking on my torsion bars and the noise went away.. Im not sure what causes it but were not the only ones that have this problem..

is it an annoying "Squeaking" noise? My dad's '97 Expy has a steering noise like that.....he thinks it is the pittman arm.

Irritating Noise

My 04 4X4 s/cab does this too... It seems as if it gets worse after a wet spell and it drives me crazy...
