A noob question

Does anyone know what the max size tire (preferably BFG AT KO) i could get away with on a 07 FX4? It came from the factory with 275 55 20's and they are killing me! They almost look like low profiles! I am to paranoid about the leveling kit and warranty issues to do one of those. Any ideas? (I get a headache trying to figure out all the metric crap)! Thanks.

BFG makes a 285/55/20, which is roughly 1/2" wider and 1/2" taller than your stock tire. You may also be able to do a 305/55/20, but I don't know if you would need a levelling kit to clear that comfortably. Hopefully Wandell will come along and chip in...

Check out this link for a tire size calculator http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp, you can go on the BFG site, or tirerack.com to get all the sizes, then plug them in and compare.

I agree. You could fit either of those sizes using the OEM wheels. If you add a leveling kit, you will be able to squeeze a 325/60-20 (35x13.00) on there. That would be a tight fit and you would have some rubbing on the control arms at full steering lock.

What would be the largest size of 20" tire you can run on an aftermarket wheel with no rubbing and no leveling kit??

With the right wheel, you could run the same two 33 inch tires on an aftermarket wheel.
