"P" rated tires on a truck are great if you only haul passengers around, go to the grocery or to church on Sunday's, but if you work your truck doing any hauling, towing or go to any construction sites or do any offroading you may want to stick with LT tires. On my '97 150 I had crappy Goodyear AP tires and had 3 flat's in 10k miles. My last 2 truck's have had LT tires and knock on wood I've hadn't had any flat's with them going on construction sites and the terrible road's around the New Orleans area. Just food for thought!

Well, I doubt I'll be towing anything major anytime soon, and my offroading is minimal right now. I would love to get some Toyo AT's but I want to wait until I get different wheels.
I get a bit of a discount from Firestone and the Dueler's are a great tire. Unfortunately, I can't find an LT in the 285/70R17 range in the Revo's. 265 is as high as it goes.
So if I have to drive in a P rated tire for a year or so, I don't mind. They will easily get me through a winter comfortably until I upgrade again.
Thanks for the input!

I know my speedometer is gonna be all messed up going from 255's to 285's but will I be doing any serious damage until I can get a tuner? I was under the impression that yes, the speedometer would be off, but it wouldn't be like a life or death thing.
I also saw in another forum that my shifting is gonna be all screwed now too.
IM SO CONFUSED.
