tire choice?

Have a choice of new toyo m/ts delivered for about $1350. Or someone selling a set with about 450 (supposed) miles for $1100. What would you do?

Okay "internet tuff guy" I see now.

I'd definitely go the second option and save a couple of hundred or so if I could.

I have put about 4K on my Toyo MT's since purchasing them brand new and they look as good today as they did the day I bought them.

450miles is nothing for these tires.

Good luck.

Why don't you tell us the size of the tire you're set on getting, perhaps someone the forum might know where to find them cheaper? I know I'd pop in a search to see if I could find them for cheaper just to help you out. What size of tire and how much did you find each one for?

Stick to buying the new ones, sometimes it's more for the peace of mind rather than the deal itself.

And besides, how do YOU know they only have 450 miles.....right?

I'm guessing he's talking of 35" judging by the posted price.... unless he's being asked to pick up the soap.

Excellent point.

Like I mentioned earlier: if properly maintained, these tires look as good with several thousand miles of driving as they do the day they're installed.

No, no soap included in this deal. The tires are 35x12.50 R20's. Most places are like $450. But a few are in the low $300 range. Tiredeals4less= $313. One other place was $334. I think 4wheelparts was $455 a tire, BIG differences Saw em on ebay for $1350 plus some known shipping cost. I thought $313 was pretty darn low, actually close to my irok radials.

Stay away from them, judging by the pics on your previous post, those tires have way way more than 450 miles. I have had my tires on for 1500 miles and they look the same as when i bought them new. Get the new ones. That guy is screwing you.

Hey Keith,
Wouldnt mind doing a favor for a guy you dont even know, would ya? Take a pic of your tires with a penny in them and send it to me. I'd like to just see what kind of excuse the guy could come up with.
