tire advice/questions
All,
newbie here...spent weeks doing some research and need to know what direction to go.
my truck is an '07 S-cab 4x4 with 5.4L, 3.55 gears and Edge Evolution programmer. have a 2.5" front-end leveler kit on the way
i have 17 x 7.5" alloys and want to use those rims.
we are moving to NW Colorado in Feb and need a tire for both MUD and SNOW.
size-wise i am thinking:
32X10.5 (265/70) or 33X11.5 (285/70)
what is better for snow? tall/narrow or a wider pattern??
i have done searches since coming here and have read for 4+ hours, great info here, no doubt.
any input/advice will be welcomed!
thanks in advance
edit to add: i AM a cheapskate and am looking for an affordable (why i am re-using the stock rims) set of tires i can run year-round up there. Like BFGs, had good experiance with them in the past.

thanks!

taller/skinnier...hmmm, i will have to check to see if they make a 265/75/17
the 285/70/17 were my first choice and 265/70/17 were second.
certainly leaning towards the BFG AT KOs
thanks again!

'precaite all the advice on here.
I went with the 32x10.5 (goodyears)...checked the prices of the BFGs when i had my leveling kit installed and they wanted $240 each and wouldnt have any in the store until next Tuesday. happened by PepBoys and they had the "Buy 3, Get the 4th FREE" deal going. With the coin i saved there, i was able to get some exhaust work done (see siggy). will have some new pics up soon.
with my 3.55 gears i CAN tell a difference in lack of power going from stock to 32"...we'll see what the MPGs do over this next tankful.
later y'all
