All those tires mentioned are very good tires, but will be noisier than the stockers from my experience. I did switch out the Pirelli's for a set of 285/65/20's bfg at's, because I needed a more aggressive tire for winter and off-roading. The tirerack.com has rating's for different types of tires, such as highway, all terrain, etc. Probably a good place to start. I probably don't need to say this, but the more aggressive the tred the louder it will be.

Yep, tires are always a compromise. With the OEM Pirelli's, Ford probably bought the cheapest tire they could. As a result, owners are stuck with a low quality tire that vibrates and flatspots overnight.

I never had an issue with the stock Pirelli's on mine. Granted, I replaced them with the new wheels and 35" MT's at 3,400 miles though.

I've had my Pirelli's for 15k miles and haven't had an issue with them.

i've heard really good things about the new Cooper LTZ, it has a nice tread on it and reasonably priced.

Wandell has a good point - My 20's do flatspot overnight and definitly vibrate.

I'm also going to upgrade to a BFG AT most likely, but size I'm not so sure. I wish I could drive one of your trucks with the 325's, I love the look but I tow an enclosed trailer and I'm afraid of it rubbing.

Sorry don't mean to jack the thread, but anyone with pics of the BFG AT 285/65/20

Thanks,
Mike

Yeah, there have been several posts here and at FTW about the OEM 20 Pirelli's vibrating. I never new it was possible for a steel belted radial tire to flatspot overnight untill these tires hit the road. I thought that was only a problem with the old bias ply tires.

I have my stock Pirellis from my truck that I would love to get rid of. 250 pluss the ride will take them. They have only 420 miles on them.
