Cooper STT

Im thinking about getting a set of these tires to replace my destination at's how will these tires perform in snow and highway driving. I do quite a bit of highway driving and not a whole lot of offroad mostly farm fields and dirt trails. I really like the looks of these tires if they will do what i need i think im going to go with them. I just keep doubting that these tires will do well in snow

A co-worker just got these tires and put them on a Chevy Avalanche. They are heavy (10 ply) and they are loader than my Xtreme A'T's by quite a bit. He said that he got them at fleet farm when they were running a buy 3 get one free sale and couldn't pass them up. The guys there said they will get at least 40K though. Thats pretty good wear and he does a lot of highway and gravel. He likes them. I think they look pretty good to. Just not as good as my Xtremes!!!

I have a friend that has the STT's on an '03 supercrew and I don't think they are loud at all. I have riden in it a couple times and I was impressed with how quiet they were with a nearly mud-terrain aggressiveness! If they weren't so expensive in the 20" sizes I would have them on my truck!

I just put these tires on my 2003 F150 Supercrew truck about 2 weeks ago. I took them mudding and i was very impressed with the traction and i just road in some icy coated and snow roads. and i was impressed with the tires. keep in mind though this is my first mud tire so all i am comparing to is street tires and bfg all terrain.

I have had them (35x12.50 R20) on my 2007 Screw since July and they are great. Not loud for such an aggressive tire at all. Overall, I am very happy with them and they were great during the fiirst snow fall of the season in Ohio.

ameration,

Weren't you running the Toyo open countrys? (In fact aren't they pictured on your truck in your signature?)
Just curious, since if youve recently switched, I'd love to know what you think in comparison.

no hes running the coopers in that pic; that is how similar the toyo M/t is tooo the cooper STT...the tread patterns are are extremely similar with both have a rather aggressive sidewall which is visually appealing to many..ive got the coooper stt's on my supercrew and ive almost used them up completely, im switching over to an all terrain to attempt to get some better mileage out of them as i only go offroad occasionally now and try to avoid mud at all costs

i went with mine b/c at the time the coopers were cheaper than the toyo's... i think that used to be the reason alot of people chose the cooper over the toyo, but now the price of the coopers has gone up significantly and from what a few dealers in my area have told me their quality has gone down to a degree.

Guys: Whats the specific prices you're finding on these tires? Cheapest I've found the Coopers is $291 and the Toyos $325. I had found them cheaper online by just a tad, but to me it's not worth the risk of getting a discount out of round tire I'll have to pay to ship back..... to roll the dice on the next tire I'll get.
And South....... when you say you ate em' up..... how long we talkin?

Thanks guys
