235/70R16 Upgrade on Stock Rims

Looking to upgrade to a larger tire now that my current are due for replacement. Been browsing the forums and haven't located a thread where someone has done so on a stock rim. I'm driving a 2002 XLT 4X4 with manual tranny (no performance impact expected except with speedo). This is my daily driver. I'm still young at 33 so I don't want to drive pop-pop's truck anymore but don't want something noisy or too aggressive. The truck is almost entirely stock and the closest thing to offroad these wheels will see is the boat ramp.

Any recommendation is very much appreciated. I'm thinking about 265s.

I went from a 235/70/16 to a 285/75/16 on my stock rims on my 97. Fits no problem and looks a ton better.

I went from 235/70/16s to 255/70/16s on stock rims for my 97 with no prob. I believe the biggest you can go without rubbing is 285s or maybe its 305s I'm not sure.

I'd go with 285/75-16's. I have some pics in my gallary with that size on my OEM wheels at stock height. I'd suggest looking at the BFG AT KO's, Nitto Terra Grapplers or Toyo AT's.
