305/55/R20... What is the Best Tire???
#16
there are a few members who are running the bfg a/t in the same size as mine without the spacer.I used the spacer because the tire was rubbing the ball joint in the straight position the km2 must be wider than the a/t even though the web site showed it the same. However the 305/55/20 on stock rims will rub at full turn on the upper control arm

New Tires
Im in the same boat. Just put a 3" leveling kit on my 06 150 King Ranch and an researching new tires. The kit manufacturer says I can go to 35" tall tires.
I found this link pretty helpful:http://www.tirerack.com/tires/survey....jsp?type=ORAT
the survey lists the top 20 or so tires...I love the Pirelli Scorpions on the truck now and they're at the top of the list as #1. Anyway, you can select a tire then from the page that opens up you click on 'specs' of the tire to see a comprehensive chart listing all sizes its available in and the overall heights the numbers correspond to. I just may switch to the BF Goodrich tire although I've always been a big fan of Pirelli.
Good luck!

The tires are:
BFG All Terrain
BFG Mud Terrain KM2
Nitto Terra Grapplers
Toyo AT
Cooper Zeon LTZ(seem to be fairly new, has anyone heard of these?)
So those are pretty much the brands worth considering that my search came up with, my question to you guys is what would ya'll choose? and if you have any of these tires, what kind of tread ware and performance are you experiencing from them.
Thanks in advance for the help!!![beers](https://www.f150online.com/forums/images/smilies/beers.gif)

Look at this forum that is going on now...

PimpRhor has the Coopers on his truck. I have never had these tires as they are new, but I had a set of Coopers put on my 98 Tahoe back in the day. They lasted 50K, and they were less than alot of other brands. In West Texas, the Cooper brand is used on the chaleche roads. My buddies have been happy with them. I am thinking of getting the Coopers or BFG's. It will come down to price. Someone said earlier that they got 60K out of their BFG's. Thats hard to argue with their quality.
