same ole' same ole'...another wheel/tire question..

...ok so im new to the site and ive been looking at mostly every single thread trying to understand this stuff..but i still need an exact answer before i go and do something stupid..my question is..i have a 3 inch body lift on my 06 f150 xlt 4x2..current tire size i have is {285-70-17) i want to know..if this is even possible?.. plus if i get bigger tires and rims, do i need to change (gears) and how much does it cost?

xd series hoss chrome
18x9, 6 on 135 / Bolt Pattern

* Back Spacing = 5.18 in.
* Offset = 30 mm.
* Hub Bore = 87.1
* Finish = Chrome

Mud-Terrain T/A KM2

plus the # 60? does that mean the wider the tire..cause thats what i want but not too wide where it looks dumb..thanks in advance for all your help.

THose tires will be the same height as your current tires but will be 20mm wider. The first number is the width of the tire in millimeters. The second number is the aspect ratio (percentage of the tires height in relation to it's width). THat combo should fit fine.

Regearing isn't necessary, but it depends on how you like the drive of your vehicle with the tires/wheels. Is it manageable? Is it annoying?

Shops usually charge around 500$ for installation of gears - roughly. It will depend on your area, how good they are, etc. Gears are usually about 200$ additional.

really? its the same size? so would you suggest 315 65 17? or would that rub?
