ok i just read that the cooper stt 35's are actually 34.66" and the toyos...

according to the site is a true 35"....so i should be able to clear the 35" coopers on my oem 20s with a 2" AS with no trimming correct? i really want the 35's and believe it or not i can get the toyos a little cheaper (like 50 bucks) but im afraid they are going to rub...what do you think? i dont want to have to do any trimming...its way to freaking cold out to work on the truck now...thanks

Most members report minor rubbing on the control arms at full steering lock.

and can the rubbing actually hurt anything or is it just more of an annoyance?

I was speaking of 35x12.50's in general. Also, the rubbing on the control arms won't hurt anything.

I priced the 2 tires you described as well and at my local cooper dealer I can get the 33 stt for $235 a tire and the cheapest I've found the toyos on the internet for was $297 a tire in 33 so If you can get the 35in toyos for $50 bucks less then the stt you need to do it.I plan on Joining the Toyo cult myself in the next couple weeks. .4inches taller isn't going to make that big of a difference I wouldn't think.Your only talking about .2inches more rubber on the top and the same on the bottom and vise versa for the sides so I think that will make or break you
