38x14.50'sx18

Lookin at some Xtreme A/T's in the 38.5x14.50x18 size.

I have XD Diesel 18x9 Wheels with 5" Backspacing. I have a Pro Comp Stage II 6" kit with 1.5" of coilover lift. I was going to add a PA 3" body lift as well.

My question is can I clear these tires with a 9" wheel????
The tires on it right now are 325/65/18's which are listed at 13.6 inches wide.

Anyone have any insight? Would love 38's but will settle for 37"s..............

yea you should be able to clear them. 14.50" tire on a 9" wide wheel though?? Id recommend at least a 10" wide wheel.

How "not recommended" would you say it is?

My only concern is I just bought 1k worth of wheels (XD Diesels, love em) and don't really want to buy a new set just to run these tires. That's another 1200 bucks down the drain that I could put towards other things? I guess I would be happy with 37's, but i love the look of those 38's...................

What are my consequences??

(By the way, this is your fault Tonka! I love those tires on your truck!)
