Aluminum corrosion

Hey guys, ive got that nasty aluminum salty type corrosion on my 97 rims. What would be the proper way to remove that? I guess they way i planned on going about it was the aircraft stripper to remove remaining clearcoat, wetsand all the crap off, polish with 3m rubbing/polishing compound, use a mothers powerball and polish on it to finish the polish then re-coat with a good quality clearcoat.

Any recommendations on a different, better procedure or brands of cleacoat/stripper to use?

Thank you all!!!!

Dustin

So you're saying strip the clearcoat, use the onebadpolish stuff then re-clear them?
