305/65/18 Questions

I have a couple of questions for those of you that have these tires.
What have you found to be the best PSI?
Will I have a hard time finding a shop to install on factory FX4 rims?
Discount tire?

Thanks in advance!

I got mine at Discount tire and they had a note in their computer that said a front end lift was required. Since I have the Bilsteins with a 2" lift, they had no issue with mounting them on the stock rims.

I'm running 40 psi, but don't know if that the best or not.

I had those tires, I found that 35 was a little better ride, but I preferred 40 cause gas mileage was little better, same thing discount, noted in there computer that they were not liable for any blow outs tread wear,or anything that effects my truck cause they rec. against putting them on, and that I knew all the warnings, after I got that out of the way I had no problems.

Thanks for the quick responses. I went to Discount tire today and was told that they didnt have all four in stock and I would have to pay a shipping charge. Does that seem odd to you?

You mean they want you to pay a shipping charge so they can sell you a set of tires? Sound's a little crazy to me!

I agree. That's crazy. I guess they are gonna charge for mounting and balancing also?

Ok, apparantly the girl I spoke with didnt know what she was talking about. They are going to install for 1098.00 including tax, balance, lifetime repair. Is that a fair price?

But my quote was from Discount Tire Co also. Do tires vary in cost regionally? I'm in the Seattle area. I'd appreciate a copy of your quote though.

That seems like a good price. I thought I had a good price at $290 / each.

That is a GREAT price. I've gotten quotes that ranged from 1200 to 1500, but never that low. I may drive to Dallas to find a Discount Tire...

Giving the fat that I bought mine like a week after the size came out, they were at there highest price and I got them for 1240 out the door, with everything, so I think that is a great price, and that will be extremely hard to beat. I would jump all over that.

The 305/65x18 AT KOs are $297 each at the Discount tire stores around here so if you can get them out the door for $1098 you should be there right now!!
