wow a 3" leveling kit....your cv angles must be horrible...it should clear but you'll need to most likely do some trimming....friday i am putting my 35s on my stock 20s and i only have a 2" leveling kit

I have a 2004 XLT 4x4 and put a 2" leveling kit on Monday and had my tires on yesterday(35x12.50x17 Pro Comp All Terrains) and have not had any rubbing issues or any other problems from the kit for that matter.

The kit was the 2" leveling kit from Skyjacker(thought it was the 2.5" by w/e) The front does sit a tad bit higher than the front but I like it.

I think mine has no problem with the rubbing because the Pro Comps are not a very aggressive tire but I don't really know. I can go full lock left and right with no problems. Need to go get it aligned now...

FX417, if you want your power back to the way it was stock, you will probably want to re-gear. Depending on what your stock gears are you may not see it as a big issue. If you plan on towing you will notice a considerable difference in power (loss). General rule of thumb for 35's are 4.56 gears, some feel 4.10's are adequate though. It all depends on your driving style and if you actually use you truck as a truck...

If you have 3.73's you may want to try a programmer first to re-gain power. To re-gear the front and rear end your looking at about $12-1500.

FX417, thats a call you can only make. It all depends on how deep your pockets are. Are you planning a full suspension lift later? If you are, bigger lifts=bigger tires. If that is in your future I would go ahead and do a gear swap first, that is one of the most involved and expensive parts of building a 4-wheeling rig. If your just looking to fill the wheel wells look at 285's or 305's. They will look good with your leveling kit and won't make a big difference in your performance.

I've got 3.73 LS on my 03 and 35s. I also have the Edge but before I had it, the power difference wasn't to bad.

Before this truck I had 3.55 Open and ran 35's with no programmer. It wasn't unbearable IMO...You'll definately notice a loss though.

If you don't tow anything, I'd look at 35's and a programmer. Forget the gears for now...

If the tire is a 35x12.5 you should not have any problems with rubbing, I've been running 35's with a 3.73 rear for over 10k miles with no problems so far but you will definitly notice a performance loss. Also expect to get about 1 to 2 mpg less mainly in city traffic. If you plan to do any heavy towing or long distance traveling I would stick to 33's.
