285/65/20 or 305/55/20 BFG AT?

Well I was backing out of a ditch the other day and I rubbed the inner fender a little bit. To fix the problem i trimmed the corners off the inner fender incase it happened again.....But for normal everyday driving they do rub.

sweet thanks....i am thinking of a 34" tire but only 11" wide. so i bet with a leveling kit i will ok.....sorry to the OP for the highjack!!!

for the money u cant beat getting the 285 over the 305..... its cheaper and a taller tire lol

Taller is not always better...






Trust me, I bump my head on all sorts of stuff.
Seriously though, for both towing and gas mileage I would prefer to stay with a 33.x" tire.

so now that i think about it... how bad did ur MPG drop with the 285/65/20's???? anybody who has them???

Maybe 1 or 2 mpg, my truck only had around 5k on it when I switched rims and tires so the gas mileage sucked anyway. I recently added a programmer so now it's back up to 15 - 16 on highway, 13 in town if you keep your foot out of it.
