Quick factory wheel question.

I know I have read somewhere that the wheels from an expedition won't fit on the F150's or vice versa. This is for my coworker and he has a 99 F150 and is looking for some 17's and likes the factory wheels. So whats the deal with this?

I believe like year will fit like year, EXCEPT 2003. The Expy changed bolt patter to 6x135mm in 2003, the F150 didn't do the same until 2004, and only on the new body style, the Heritage kept the old 5 lug bolt pattern...

I've seen quite a few 2000 - 2002 Expys sporting similar vintage King Ranch wheels. So I don't think there is any problem...

Right. The 97-03 F-150's and the 97-02 Expy's have the same bolt pattern and wheel specs.

Add in Ford changed the lug size from 12 to 14mm on the F150 in 99 (I think). Did they do the same on the Expy?

Yes, I believe so. When changing oem wheels you need to make sure you get lugnuts for your year model truck, not the wheels.
