time for new rotors and pads, couple questions

ive looked at autozone and im looking at 51$ per rotor, however e bay has a few nice choices for alot less. What im wondering is is there any benefit to getting drilled rotors? I've heard they "shave" the pad each time you use the brakes, thus shortening pad life considerably.

these are the rotors im looking at.

There are to many unknown rotor companies out there. They will sell you something and if you have any issues, you are out of luck! I only have 9000 miles on my truck, but I hate the pads and rotors so much, I went with Power Slot Cryo rotors with Carquest blue pads. I know the Cryo's are probably overkill, but I wanted a good rotor. Their standard rotors are good also. I just did not ever want to worry about warping. With the Cryo's this is not an issue.

Realistically, our trucks do not need drilled and slotted rotors. It's all a marketing tool unless you have a high performance car.
